The Heart behind the Business

Mahjong has always been a grounding ritual for Dee - a space where stress pauses, stories flow, and community forms.

With a background in interior design and a deep love for the game, she created Mahj Awhile as an invitation: To sit down. To slow down. To connect over something tactile, timeless, and honestly... kind of addictive.

Her signature teaching style? Hands-on, heart-forward, and totally un-intimidating.

And yes - she’ll be the one rearranging your tile racks if you’re doing it wrong (with love).
